A bit late to wish you a happy new year but it is the Chinese New Year, year of the Monkey! So Happy New Year and may this year be all you want it to be.
I've certainly had a busy time since I last updated this blog. Plenty of vintage markets leading up to Christmas and then a fabulous trip to India over the Christmas break and beyond. India is a bit of a passion and it's become a second home. This time we were in Kerala and Karnataka in the South and it was amazing. The colours are so vibrant and the light so wonderful, I'm usually inspired to come home and make colourful things!
Do you remember the Shropshire inspired project? Well it's finished now and is available on my Etsy shop along with a couple of other crochet blankets. Crochet squares are my favourite thing to make., so very relaxing, you should try it sometime!
We've come home to such appalling weather in the UK, lots of wind and rain, that I've been making sunny flowery little bags to bring some cheer. The bag itself is made using double crochet and the flower is knitted. The lining on this one is a lush Liberty print cotton and there's a zipped pocket inside to keep keys & things safe. I love a squishy hippy bag!
Oh well, globe trotting is over for another year, it's time to knuckle down and get crafting and searching out beautiful vintage items for all you monkeys out there. See you at a vintage fair soon!
