Well hello there, it's been a while. What have you been up to? Hope life has been treating you well. Life in Street has got a whole lot better since Greenbank Pool opened for the season on May 2nd, hurrah! It's a lovely heated outdoor pool in the middle of town. I aim to go as often as possible before the kids break up from school. Once the school holidays come you have to pick your time carefully, either first thing (10am) or at 6.45pm for the adult only swim, athough by then, the water is so murky it's like swimming through soup. I love swimming outside, the cool air on your head as you pop up to breathe and the light coming through the water, bliss. That definitely makes me go oooh.
Classes at The Red Brick Building have been cancelled for the time being as the uptake wasn't really covering my overheads. It's a shame as the people who were coming along were lovely. We covered Granny Squares and flowers so they did really well in just three weeks. I'm working on an idea to run these classes from home soon to keep overheads down so watch this space.
Meantime, classes will start at The Swan, Wedmore on Tuesday afternoons starting 26th May. Please contact me if you would like to book a space. Mastering a new skill makes you go oooh.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but on the second Sunday of every month there will be a vintage market in Castle Cary, Somerset. It's in it's infancy at the moment and the second market was on Sunday 10th May. We were there selling our wares and it was fun even though it was a bit chilly! Thanks to our friends who came along for moral support and with extra layers of fleeces and hats to keep us warm.
I'm very pleased to let you know that I've opened a virtual shop on Etsy selling stools at the moment but other items will be added later so please keep an eye on it. I can only post the stools within the UK though as shipping costs elsewhere would be too expensive.
I'm a great believer in positive thinking and I feel very positive about the change of direction my life is taking. I can't believe it's three months already since I started my part-time hours in my day job. Life goes by so quickly, you've got to try and do what you love doing don't you think?
